There is a lot of information  that suggests that we really do create our own reality.
In the present era, Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich was one of the first publications in a new genre of self-help advice that revealed the nature of personal power - that one's thoughts and beliefs are the fabric from which our life circumstances are made.  The Seth books of the 1970s re-introduced this idea and more in a new form to a new generation. Today, there are many authors and speakers who teach people that, in Mike Dooley's simple summation "Thoughts become things".  The movie The Secret illustrates these age-old principals and features many of today's well-known teachers on the subject.

To help structure and ritualize (the subconscious mind loves ritual!) the manifestation of your heart's desires, here are some ideas for your personal use. Spark the alchemy!

Wish Candle
To create what you desire, first you have to articulate your wish clearly. The wish candle provides a reminder and is the key to creating a small personal ritual to help you remember to visualize your intentions every day. State your desire as you light the candle, and visualize clearly what it is like to have what you want - put yourself as vividly in the picture as you can - sights, smells, textures, sounds..  Explore how it feels to have what you want - dwell in that feeling. Give thanks for all you have, blow out the candle, and carry the feeling of accomplishment into your day.  As Martha Beck reminds us, people are often confused about how things really work in life - they think that once they achieve their objectives, they will find the feelings of joy and peace and celebration they desire. But our reality really works just the opposite: by feeling joyous, peaceful, and fulfilled, you draw to you the experiences that match that vibration. Try it and see! Although you can use any candle (and we recommend you do!), a votive type is recommended for fire safety.  If you choose to make or buy votives or other candles for gifts, here are some small labels to make them into Wish Candles.

The Universe Jar
Sometimes you have a lot of things, big and small, that you want to bring into your life. A new laptop, home improvements, fulfilling work, getting back into the size 8 clothes that are in storage...I'm sure this is not just me... you get the idea.

Another way to go about creating these things is to spend the time to write down what you want as precisely as you can, go through the wish ritual with the candle as above (write down the feelings you discover on the other side of the paper - e.g. - fitting into all my size 8 clothing - joy, lightness, energy, sense of control and strength). Put the paper in a special jar as a symbol of handing it over to the Universe. Give thanks and blow out  your candle.  Carry the feelings of accomplishment into your life, and look for the opportunities that will come your way to co-create what you want.   Remember that although you are working with the Universe, you have to be consistent and do your share toward your goals! As mom always said, "God helps those who help themselves". Positive action helps strengthen your vibration.

You can be on the lookout for a  jar or box that feels right for you as an incubator for your dreams!
